Pinnacle Awards recognise business excellence

I have been busy helping the Australian Institute of Management WA (AIM WA) with their media and communications for the past couple of months.

One of the great initiatives they run annually is the WestBusiness AIM WA Pinnacle Awards.

These Awards are an important way to recognise excellence in WA business, not-for-profit and government agencies.

They also help showcase the outstanding business leadership and achievements made by organisations across all sectors and industries in WA.

Very importantly, the Awards support charity – with over $90,000 raised last year.

Each category Award winner is presented with $10,000 in cash to donate to a charity of their choice, as well as an engraved Pinnacle trophy.

There are eight Award categories:

Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence

Customer Service Excellence

Emerging Business Excellence

Green Business Excellence

Human Resource Management Excellence

Innovation Excellence

Marketing Excellence

Workplace Diversity Excellence.

There are many benefits to entering the Awards and last year’s Award winners included the City of Karratha and Rio Tinto (Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence); Carnegie Wave Energy (Green Business Excellence); Minnovare Mining and Civil (Innovation Excellence), and the WA Department of Education (Human Resource Management Excellence).

There will also be a separate accolade – the WA Business Leader of the Year Award – given to a corporate leader who has made an outstanding contribution to business in WA and outperformed his or her peers in 2016.

Entries for the Pinnacle Awards and WA Business Leader of the Year Award close on July 22, 2016 and entry is free.
