‘Break the Sound Barrier’ puts spotlight on hearing health

I have been writing some blogs and other media publicity for the Australian Institute of Management WA (AIM WA) of late.

One of these covered an important health issue which I would like to share with my social media and Web followers.

‘Break the Sound Barrier’ is an exciting new initiative aimed at increasing Government, business and community awareness of hearing health issues.

Becoming a national health priority requires the agreement of both Commonwealth and State Governments – through the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) process.

So this means we need to convince our representatives – at both a Federal and State level – that we deserve their support.

With the Federal election imminent there has never been a better time to get behind this very worthy cause and raise awareness of this important issue to the political parties.

There are several easy ways to help get the message across:

1. Share the campaign on social media by ‘liking’ and sharing the Break the Sound Barrier Facebook page and Twitter pages.

You can also use the #soundbarrier hashtag when posting and tweeting about hearing health and wellbeing

2. Send an email about Break the Sound Barrier to your member/supporter list – templates are available on the website at

www.breakthesoundbarrier.org.au

The more people who sign up to the campaign, the greater chance the of it being heard this election

3. Download and display the Break the Sound Barrier materials

4. Highlight the campaign on your website.
